Each historical campaign is presented as a separate two-player game with an average playing time of 2-3 hours.

The Austerlitz scenario recreates the decisive battle in 1805 where Napoleon's French forces defeated the Austro-Russian army, cementing France's dominance in Central Europe. The Jena to Friedland campaign covers the series of Prussian defeats in 1806-07 that led to the Treaty of Tilsit between France and Russia.
The Wagram scenario depicts the 1809 campaign where Napoleon's troops defeated the Austrian Empire, forcing them to cede territory and agree to an unfavorable peace. The Spain scenarios cover the Peninsular War from 1811-1814, as the French struggled to maintain control of the Iberian Peninsula against a tenacious Spanish resistance and British intervention.
The Napoleon in Russia scenario recreates the disastrous French invasion of 1812, where Napoleon's grand army was decimated by the harsh Russian winter and relentless counterattacks. The War of Liberation in 1813 saw the tide turn against Napoleon, as Prussia, Austria, and Russia formed a coalition that drove the French back across the Rhine.
In the Napoleon at Bay scenario, the game simulates the final campaigns of 1814, where the allied forces closed in on Paris, eventually forcing Napoleon's abdication. Finally, the Waterloo scenario depicts the climactic battle in 1815 that sealed Napoleon's downfall and the restoration of the French monarchy under the Bourbon dynasty.
Through these varied scenarios, the War and Peace game provides a comprehensive and immersive experience of the Napoleonic Wars, allowing players to explore the strategic and tactical challenges faced by the combatants during this pivotal era of European history.
